registertoken – app push notification token.

By sending a registertoken message client indicates to IXNX it wants to receive push notifications. By never sending any registertoken message client indicates to IXNX it does not want, or cannot handle, push notifications. Webpage clients do not send any registertoken messages.

By sending a registertoken message with empty token the client indicates it does no longer want to receive push notifications. Any old received token is discarded by IXNX.

The registertoken message should preferably be sent immediately upon reception of the welcome message, but may also be sent any time later. Sending a new push token replaces the previous one.

The token can also be sent as part of the Iam message.

• devicetoken - push notification token as received from OS
• client - token type:
  • "android": GCM token of variable length
  • "ios": APN token, 64 characters
