getURLvars()

wrtc.getURLvars() is a handy way of allowing the request URL control behavior of wrtc_kit.

Arguments

None.

Returns

Nothing.

Affects

Tags in the URL affects wrtc settings:

URL tag same as result
audio=no wrtc.getAudio = false do not use mic
call=addr wrtc.adv.callTo = addr call addr after page loaded
dtmf=dtmf wrtc.adv.dialDTMF = dtmf dial dtmf after page loaded
getmedia=no wrtc.adv.getMedia = false access local mic/cam first when making/receiving call
getvideo=no wrtc.getVideo = false do not use camera
getvideo=yes wrtc.getVideo = true force use of camera

Usage

wrtc.getURLvars() is usually called in your wrtc.init() function.

You can implement the same functionality using multiple getURLvar() calls but getURLvars() gives a common URL tag standard for all wrtc_kit implementations.

Example

wrtc.init() {
  wrtc.getURLvars();
  ...
}

Now loading page using URL company.com/client.htm?getvideo=no;call=john.doe@company.com will place an audio-only call to john.doe immediately after page has been loaded.
