adv.getLog()

wrtc.adv.getLog() requests the wrtc_kit log from a remote wrtc_kit client. The received log is saved to a file on your computer.

Arguments

wrtc.adv.getLog(from, cid, callobj, datachannel)

  • from - address to request log from
  • cid - (optional) client ID to request log from
  • callobj - (optional) request log from client at other end of this call
  • datachannel - (optional) set to true to request transfer using data channel

Usually you only supply the address to request the log from. If you know the client ID you can supply it too, to be able to select right client from multiple logins.

To prefer use data channel for log file transfer specify callobj and set data channel to true. But you don't need to: if log file transfer on direct connection fails (clients connected to different IXNX units) then wrtc_kit will attempt to resend it through data channel anyway.

Returns

Nothing.

Events

Call to wrtc.adv.getLog() will result in wrtc.onFileProgress() and wrtc.onFileReceived() events.
