addressName

wrtc.addressName is a string property containing your username. Your username is the unique address you can be found at.

If wrtc.addressName contains a @ it is assumed to be a SIP address. A SIP address contains username@server, there username is a unique identifier on that server, eg "adam@foo.com" or "adam@50.11.69.17". Clients having SIP addresses can register on SIP servers.

If wrtc.addressName does not contain any @ it is assumed to be just a username. Usernames can serve as identifiers on the local IXNX server, for local calls between clients, but may be insufficient for SIP applications.

By default wrtc.addressName is set to "guest_" followed by a random number.

In the wrtc.init() function you should set wrtc.addressName to the user's username or SIP address.

Upon connecting to the IXNX server the server can change your username. Please see wrtc.onLoggedIn() for details.

If you want to change your username later on use wrtc.changeCredentials().

Value

String containing your username / SIP address.

Default value

"guest_" followed by a random number eg "guest_437"

Usage

To change wrtc.addressName you should call wrtc.changeCredentials() with argument {addressName: new value}

If you manually change the value of wrtc.addressName you must call wrtc.changeCredentials() without argument to notify IXNX server about your new username.
