adv.capabilities
call.capabilities is an object property describing what capabilities client at other end of a call has.
If the client at other end of call is a wrtc_kit based client the object members will get true/false values indicating capabilities.
If the client at other end of call is a SIP client the object members will have null value (the object members will be there but their values will be null).
Value
Object containing members:
- chat: boolean, true if client at other end can receive chat messages (it has a wrtc.onChatMessage() function defined)
- data: boolean, true if client at other end supports data channels
- group: boolean, true if client at other end supports group calls
- video: boolean, true if client at other end supports video calls
Above values are false if we know client at other end does not support them and null if we don't know (client has not told us its capabilities).
Please only read members' values, do not alter them.
Usage
To check if client at other end of call eg supports group calls check:
if (callobj.capabilities.group)
It is:
- true if client supports group calls
- false if we know it does not support group calls
- null if we don't know if it supports group calls (client has not told us its capabilities). Then you should assume it does not support group calls
