adv.requestVideoEncoding()

call.adv.requestVideoEncoding() controls the video stream received in the call. It can be used to ask other end of call to limit maximum bandwidth and framerate, and downscale the video it transmits to us.

Client at other end of call will automatically perform a call.adv.setVideoEncoding() with supplied arguments.

call.adv.requestVideoEncoding() works only if client at other end of call uses wrtc_kit.
SIP clients will ignore these requests.

Arguments

  • maxBitrate - (optional) maximum video bandwidth, in kbps
  • maxFramerate - (optional) maximum frames per second
  • scaleDown - (optional) video frame size downscale factor

Missing values keep old settings.
