The Ingate WebRTC Companion Kit

The Ingate WebRTC Companion Kit helps you create your own web-based videophone page quickly and effortlessly. The Ingate WebRTC Companion Kit contains a full-featured WebRTC client, with seamless integration to SIP telephony solutions.

The core of the kit is the wrtc javascript object. By calling this object you can easily make and receive WebRTC and SIP calls.

The wrtc object connects to and communicates with your IXNX unit to offer advanced solutions:

You develop your own web page and store it on any web server you desire. When a customer opens your web page it will connect to your IXNX unit and will be able to connect to other web clients, SIP soft clients and SIP telephones.

First read through this entire tutorial to learn how to use the WebRTC Companion Kit, then in step 11 we discuss how to create the web page and put it on the Internet.

Creating your own client

This document will step by step go through how you create a (very simple, and frankly quite ugly) WebRTC client. We focus on understanding the code rather than creating a nice interface. Once you have understood how the code works, how to use the wrtc object, you can create your own much better looking client, with all the bells and whistles you and your customers desire.
