====== sipreg ======
**S → C  {type: 'sipreg', status: ...}**

sipreg – SIP registration status. Status result of SIP registration made by SIP user agent in IXNX.

SIP registration is attempted automatically if username supplied in [[ixnx:wrtc:rtcgate:iam|Iam]] is a valid SIP address. Message sipreg reports its results.

  * status:
    * OK - registration succeeded
    * REJECTED - authentication failed
    * UNAVAILABLE - registration failed for other reason (eg server DNS error, no response from SIP server, timeout, etc)
    * UNREGISTER - unregistration succeeded

===== sipreg vs welcome =====
Depending on system settings some servers may allow you access to basic services even if SIP registration has failed. In such circumstances you will get both a [[ixnx:wrtc:rtcgate:welcome|welcome]] message  and a sipreg status:REJECTED message. In some systems you will then be able to contact other users connected to the same server but not be able to make SIP calls.
