You should really change wrtc.adv.template only in [[ixnx:wrtc:js:api:wrtc:init|wrtc.init()]]. But if you for some reason want to change it later you must call [[ixnx:wrtc:js:api:wrtc:changecredentials|wrtc.changeCredentials()]] after.

If an IXNX have two different wrtc templates, one for digest authentication and one using REST authentication token you could select between them using:\\
