====== Signaling ====== Each webRTC client **A**, **B**, **C**, **D** and **E** is in constant websocket connection with the Ingate unit's web socket server. The data transmitted within the connection is encrypted either by Secure Websocket or by proprietary encryption. Signaling is carried out using RTCgate commands. Signaling is used to start calls. If client **A** wants to call client **B** it will send RTCgate command offer to web socket server that forwards it to client **B**. The answer is sent back the same way through the web socket server. Ping messages make sure connection stays open even if client is behind remote NAT routers. Using roaming techniques the connection can be made through LAN, WAN or wireless connections and the user is also allowed to freely move between different connections. If connection drops it will be reestablished and any lost data resent again. Thus for instance client **A** moves from LAN to WAN connection drops but will be reinitiated to Ingate unit's WAN IP address. Also if device **E** moves from WiFi to 4G connection will be reinitiated. Next page: **Media**
